Healthy Snack Recipes

You can make this one day or so ahead of your party. The protein rich cheeses and nuts also make excellent healthy snack recipes for kids and children. Serve with a variety of your favorite whole grain crackers.

Ingredients

8 oz reduced fat cream cheese
4 oz sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
4 oz blue cheese, crumbled
1 Tablespoon finely minced onion
1 Tablespoon worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Healthy Cooking Instructions

Allow the cream cheese to come to room temperature, 1-2 hours should do it.
Using a mixer, combine the cheeses, onion and worcestershire sauce until well combined.
Using your hands, shape the mixture into a ball.
Place the nuts in a shallow bowl and roll the cheese ball in the nuts to completely coat it.
Wrap the ball in wax paper and refrigerate until completely chilled. At least 4-6 hours.
